How does dkcast share my screen without recording or uploading it?

dkcast captures your screen locally and opens a direct browser-to-browser connection (a WebRTC media connection) with your viewer. The video streams straight across that connection in real time. Only a tiny connection handshake passes through a public signalling broker — the video itself never touches a server and nothing is stored.

Can more than one person watch the same cast?

Yes. Anyone you send the link to can open it, and the caster streams to each viewer at once. The caster's tab must stay open while the cast is live.

Can viewers hear audio?

If your browser and operating system allow sharing tab or system audio when you start the cast, viewers can hear it. Browsers block sound from auto-playing, so each viewer taps once to unmute.

The video goes directly between the two browsers and is not stored anywhere. WebRTC media is encrypted in transit (DTLS/SRTP). dkcast itself is a static site with no backend, and only someone with your link can connect.
